What to Expect

Laying the foundation for total health

At Willow River Chiropractic Dr. Maier's main goal is to get you feeling better as soon as possible.  This goal is the same for each patient, but the means of achieving this goal can differ greatly.  Each person's body reacts to treatment differently and recovers from injury differently.  Knowing and accepting this makes each person's treatment unique.  There is no cookie cutter technique or treatment plan that works on everyone.  This is why each patient at Willow River Chiropractic is assessed regularly and treatment plans can change with every visit.  Below you can see a general breakdown of the three phases of care.

In some ways, one could say that chiropractic care is a bit like building a house - certain things have to happen in a particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work together correctly. When building a house, if you tried to build your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually may even collapse. If you tried to build your roof before the walls were ready, you would run into the same problem. These concepts apply to your body as well, and chiropractic care addresses many common reasons why people experience pain and other health issues. If something is not right with your body's foundation, than that needs to be addressed before true health can be achieved. With chiropractic care, your body has to go through a particular plan of care in order to repair itself correctly and fully. There are three general phases of chiropractic care . . .

Phase 1: Relief Care

If you are in pain when you come into our New Richmond chiropractic office, our first objective is to help you reduce pain and start feeling better as soon as possible. We use everything in our arsenal to get you out of this phase.

Phase 2: Corrective/Restorative Care

During the corrective phase of chiropractic care, muscles and other tissues are allowed to heal more completely, which helps prevent further injury or pain. The goal of corrective or restorative chiropractic care is to help bring your body back to 100% functioning.

Phase 3: Wellness Care

Once your body has fully healed and you are no longer experiencing back pain or other pain symptoms, it may be good to come in for periodic chiropractic adjustments to avoid further problems in the future.  This part of your care comes from you and the chiropractor determining how your body responds to the stresses of life and how chiropractic care fits into your life moving forward.

Testimonials

Reviews By Our Satisfied Patients

  • "Dr. Nathan is amazing! I moved here a few years ago and tried many other chiropractors but was not happy. Met Dr. Nathan shortly after he opened when I had thrown my back out and couldn't ride in a car the distance my other chiropractor was. I was beyond impressed. Needless to say, he is now my only chiropractor."

  • "Dr. Maier has helped me with my migraines, left knee, and right wrist. I love how knowledgeable he is. He has helped by keeping me in martial arts too. He keeps me up and moving, especially for my son.

I recommend anyone and everyone see Dr. Maier."
